Wireless Networks

Attaching the camera to the network and power is best done using a direct-wire underwater cable. When the deployment distance off-shore is greater than allowed for Ethernet networks, wireless transmitters and receivers can be employed. The devices that make this possible will depend on the number of cameras, bandwidth requirements and distances to be covered. Each deployment is different so knowledge of the site conditions is most important.
Short-hop Wireless
Inexpensive wireless bridges can be employed to cover a distance of under one mile.
Long-haul Wireless
Higher-power wireless transmitters are required when bridging long distances of several miles.
